Manchester United are reportedly keen on securing the signature of one of the breakout stars from this years Champions League.
The Independent have reported that Erik ten Hag wants Inter Milan star, Federico Dimarco.
The report adds that both Manchester United and Real Madrid have spoken with the Italian club about the defenders availability.

1) Dimarco is 25-years-old, coming through the Inter academy he was sold to FC Sion in 2017, before he rejoined Inter aged 20 in 2018.
2) Dimarco has made 98 appearances for Inter, including 15 assists and five goals.

4) The Italian is incredibly versatile and can play across the defence, his all-round abilities led Gazzetta dello Sport to refer to him as a “total player”.

6) Dimarco is a serial winner, with two Italian Cups and two Italian super cup triumphs to his name.
7) The defender made 11 appearances for Inter on their run to the Champions League final, clocking up five assists.
8) Dimarco has only missed four games due to injury since 2019.
9) He has just helped Italy defeat the Netherlands 3-2 in the Nations League 3rd place playoff, scoring the opener.

Where will Dimarco play at United?
While there isn’t a position Dimarco walks straight into at United, he would provide great options for ten Hag.
Given his adaptability across the defence, he could play next to Raphael Varane in lieu of a Lisandro Martinez absence, or at left-back in place of Luke Shaw.
With the amount of games United had to play last season, it could be pivotal to add strength behind the first team.
That being said however, given the rapid rise of Dimarco he could end up usurping the starters should he arrive.
