Manchester United are looking to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, with the two clubs negotiating a price.
Rasmus Hojlund looks like one of the more viable Manchester United striker options this summer. However, Atalanta’s desire to get greedy is putting the deal at risk.
The Times described Rasmus Hojlund last month as a £40 million target. However, The Mail report the Serie A side want a staggering £86 million.

Rasmus Hojlund goal for Denmark
Rasmus Hojlund led the line for Denmark in their Euro 2024 qualifier away at Slovenia. He scored a vital away goal to secure a 1-1 draw.
In doing so, Hojlund may just have given Atalanta an excuse to keep hiking the asking price for the promising striker.
Hojlund now boasts an impressive record of six goals in five international appearances for Denmark.
He was a thorn in Slovenia’s side all night, completing five successful dribbles, and seizing his one big chance.
Hojlund’s performance overshadowed Slovenia striker Benjamin Sesko, linked with a move to Manchester United last summer. The Dortmund-bound forward saw his only shot saved and struggled to make an impact.
Manchester United maestro Christian Eriksen was excellent in midfield, creating three goalscoring chances, more than any player on the pitch.
Denmark rank third in their group, two points behind leaders Finland and Kazakhstan.
But there are plenty of games left, and the Danes have San Marino left to play twice.
Hojlund will hope to add to his prolific international record when Denmark host San Marino in September – but hopefully by that point, he will already be a Manchester United player.
