Sheikh Jassim Manchester United bid: Everything Qatari takeover bidder is promising plus his 3 dream targets

Manchester United bidder Sheikh Jassim is claimed to be nearing success with his takeover attempt.

Reports from Qatar indicate Sheikh Jassim and his Nine Two Foundation are braced for success with their latest bid.

CNBC reported how share prices have rocketed amid the speculation the Qatari bidder will be successful. While this has since been played down, via The Athletic, the race is on.

Jassim is competing with Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s Ineos to win the race for Manchester United.

Sheikh Jassim plans at Manchester United

Amid the growing speculation Sheikh Jassim will be successful with his attempted Manchester United takeover, let’s refresh what he plans to bring to the club.

DEBT FREE: Sheikh Jassim plans to wipe out the Manchester United debt, per The Guardian. This currently stands in excess of £500 million.

SUCCESS: Sporting success is forefront of the Qatari project. This is in contrast to the Glazers, whose primary objective is to make money.

The opening statement in February read: “The bid plans to return the club to its former glories both on and off the pitch, and – above all – will seek to place the fans at the heart of Manchester United once more.”

STADIUM AND TRAINING GROUND INVESTMENT: There will be much-needed investment in the club infrastructure, with objectives set to renovate Carrington and Old Trafford. It is long overdue.

COMMUNITY FUND: There will be money ring-fenced to invest in the community and area around Old Trafford, report The Mirror.

GLAZER REMOVAL: One way fans are supportive of Jassim’s bid is because it would totally remove the Glazers, buying 100 per cent of their shares.

In contrast, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s offer will not buy them out totally, yet. Goal report the Glazers would be provided with pathways to stay as minority owners, to be bought out at a later date.

Big name transfer targets

There are expected to be a number of big name transfer targets if Sheikh Jassim’s offer for Manchester United is successful.

Christian Falk claimed there are three key players on his list, Kylian Mbappe, Eduardo Camavinga, and Kingsley Coman.

We also took a look at how a Manchester United XI would look with these three players in the line-up.

Kylian Mbappe is expected to become available this summer too, amid reports via L’Equipe that he has signalled his intention not to renew his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
