Manchester United lost the FA Cup final today, with David de Gea being a big reason behind the loss failing to keep out the second goal.
The mistake will be something of a last straw for many fans who are keen to replace the Spaniard.
De Gea had a horrific 49% pass accuracy against Manchester City, completing just 17 of his 35 attempted passes.
United’s decade long number one made just three saves, as he let Ilkay Gundogan put two past him.
This performance hasn’t helped his claim to earn a new deal at Old Trafford, with only 27 days remaining on his current.
But should De Gea depart, who should be brought in? There is just one clear answer.

Why Diogo Costa is a necessity
Diogo Costa is on a different style to De Gea in terms of style. Costa is a typical modern goalkeeper who excels with the ball at his feet, sweeping and claiming crosses.
For Porto this season, Costa had 16 league clean sheets in 33 games, conceding just 22 goals in all. His record was equally good in the Champions League keeping clean sheets in four of his sides eight games.
However despite being capable of immaculate saves and keeping clean sheets, Costa is so much more than that.

Stats show the Portuguese keeper is an Erik ten Hag style number one; ranking in the 85th percentile for distance of defensive actions, 74th percentile for actions outside the penalty area and 73rd percentile for crosses stopped.
Costa is an incredible ball laying keeper; He has a 99% and 98% completion rate for short passes and medium passes respectively while he completes 56% of long passes (compared with De Gea’s 43%).
Costa has a release clause of £66m, a fee United could and should be triggering as soon as possible, now the seasons over.
