Manchester United were desperate for a number nine this summer. After what seemed like an age, Erik ten Hag finally got his desired striker in the form of 20-year-old Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.
The Red Devils paid a pretty penny for his services – £64m to be exact, which is set to rise. However, even from the brief cameo against Arsenal, he does look the business.
He really may be the most exciting young talent in the Premier League right now, with his most recent nomination proving why he is just that.

Rasmus Hojlund is the most exciting young talent in the Premier League
The young Danish forward has earned the right of the best young talent in the Premier League due to his recent nomination for the Kopa Trophy 2023.
The Kopa Award is awarded to the best player under the age of 21 in the previous season. It runs with the Ballon d’Or and essentially serves as the award for the best/most exciting young player in world football at the time.
Hojlund is the only current Premier League player to be nominated for the Kopa Trophy.
This is huge for United, meaning they have hold of one of the best young talents, not just in the league, but in world football.
