Jadon Sancho’s Manchester United future looks up in the air with Juventus ready to offer him a way out of his Manchester nightmare.
The English winger has struggled for Manchester United and, after falling out with Erik ten Hag, he is seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford in January.
Juventus, under Massimiliano Allegri, are interested in the 23-year-old but have had money issues in the past. Here are some options United could look at if a swap deal is mooted.
Gleison Bremer
Gleison Bremer was linked by Calciomercato with the Red Devils back in June and was seen as a viable alternative for Kim-Min Jae.
The former Torino man won the Serie A best defender award in the 2021-2022 season and mainly features as the right-sided central defender.
United are seemingly keen on replacing Raphael Varane next summer due to the Frenchman’s injury issues and Bremer could well be a superb option for the Red Devils.
A reliable ball-playing centre-back, which is what Bremer is, is exactly what Ten Hag is crying out for from his defenders.
Manuel Locatelli
Another name who has been linked with United in the past is Manuel Locatelli, who was crucial as Roberto Mancini’s Italy won the European Championship in 2021.
The Italian midfielder recently made his 100th appearance for the Serie A side over the weekend, so a transfer may well be unlikely.
The midfielder excels at the defensive side of the game but his passing statistics aren’t the best with just an 82% pass completion rate according to FBREF.
The midfielder seems content at Juventus so this one may well be unrealistic
Samuel Iling-Junior
The third and certainly most left-field option would be Samuel Iling-Junior. The winger had his breakthrough campaign in Turin last season with a goal and an assist from 12 appearances in the Juve first team.
Iling-Junior, who predominantly plays out wide, could be moved infield as he is seen to have very similar characteristics to that of former United man Paul Pogba, according to Allegri.
Juventus may well be under pressure to sell the former Chelsea academy graduate, so a move could be a viable one if United were interested,
The teenager is a superb dribbler shown by his 3.20 successful take-ons per 90, he could be the exact sort of player for the Red Devils that Sancho has never been – a fast, direct and exciting winger.
