Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho looks destined to leave the club in January.
Reliable football reporter Fabrizio Romano recently stated that there was a 99.9% likelihood of his departure in the upcoming January window, via Caught Offside.
This means Erik ten Hag is going to need a replacement. Here are four we think would do very well in the right-winger spot for Manchester United.
Michael Olise
Judging by some of United’s previous purchases, Premier League proven may be the way to go – so who better than Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise?
The young winger was close to joining Chelsea in the summer but opted to stay at Selhurst Park. No disrespect to the Eagles, but Olise could soar much higher than he is at Palace. This could mean he could be tempted away, despite his new Palace contract.
The 21-year-old is skilful, pacey and has an eye for goal. He’s destined for stardom and he’d be an instant hit in Manchester.
Federico Chiesa
According to Dean Jones, speaking on GiveMeSport, Federico Chiesa is a target for Manchester United this coming winter window.
The Italian is one of the shining lights in Juventus’ side, often playing in a more central role for the Serie A giants this season.
This one looked more likely in the summer, but after an electric start to the 23/24 campaign for Juventus – Chiesa will now more likely stay put.
Still, United should still be looking at him. He possesses raw speed, immense trickery and a wand of a left peg.
Pedro Neto
Next up it’s someone who’s tearing up the Premier League this season – it’s Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto.
The Portuguese wizard of a winger has a whopping seven assists in ten games this season in the Premier League – scoring one goal along the way.
Rasmus Hojlund has thus far struggled for service from his wingers, so Neto would be an absolute dream for the Danish forward.
Marcus Edwards
Last but not least, a move for Marcus Edwards would be a really bold one for Erik ten Hag.
The English-born winger is currently playing his stuff in the Liga Portuguesa for Sporting Lisbon – where he’s one of their most dangerous players.
He has two goals and two assists so far this season, which leaves Sporting top of the league with an unbeaten record.
Manchester United are reportedly set to send scouts to their game tonight versus Benfica to watch a £52m ace – but should they be keeping an eye on Edwards instead?
