12 goals in 12 games: Opposing forward will be licking his lips after recent Man Utd injury woe

Manchester United take on Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend, in what is always a daunting fixture.

Erik ten Hag faces his toughest test of the season yet – which is a trip to Anfield. Manchester United have a worrying record against Liverpool, which doesn’t bode well for the Dutchman.

Last season was an absolute embarrassment. Liverpool put seven passed a woeful United side, granting them their most embarrassing moment yet under their new manager.

Mohamed Salah scored two that day. His record against Manchester United is ludicrous.

Mohamed Salah’s record vs Manchester United

Salah has played 12 times against Manchester United, scoring 12 goals in the process. He also has four assists during this period.

Here is his record against the Red Devils:

These were all for Liverpool, with him on the bench for Chelsea as an unused substitute early into his career.

The Egyptian sure does love facing United, and after recent news, he’ll be licking his lips as we build IP to Sunday’s fixture.

Luke Shaw injury means Mohamed Salah could thrive

Luke Shaw was substituted at half-time against Bayern Munich with an apparent injury and replaced with Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

This means, along with a plethora of other players, he may be unavailable against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Shaw was United’s best bet in stopping Salah on that right-hand side. United have looked supremely better with him in the team, only for him to be ripped out again ahead of the important fixture.

Ten Hag evidently doesn’t trust Sergio Reguilon, with Diogo Dalot accompanying the left-back slot against Bayern after the injury, and he doesn’t exactly shine in that sport either.

The Egyptian will be looking to extend his ludicrous record against the Red Devils, and the absence of Shaw could certainly work in his favour.
