Gary Neville posts five-word reaction to rumours about Man Utd squad losing faith in Erik ten Hag

Gary Neville has suggested that Manchester United are experiencing ‘groundhog day’ amid claims players are losing faith in Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United are making headlines for the wrong reasons again after a dismal 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United.

We can’t really say it’s unwarranted; United were so far off the pace at St James’ Park and 1-0 was a flattering scoreline.

The pressure on Erik ten Hag is mounting once again and reports today suggest that he could be losing the dressing room.

New Erik ten Hag reports emerge

ESPN were leading the way earlier on Monday, claiming that Ten Hag was fighting to keep the United squad onside.

It was suggested that ‘a group within the first-team squad’ are quickly losing faith in Ten Hag after another defeat on Saturday.

Sky Sports have now gone one further, suggesting that some parts of the United dressing room have already been lost.

Ten Hag’s playing style is allegedly being questioned whilst some are unhappy with his decision to completely exile Jadon Sancho.

That report claims that Ten Hag has ‘lost 50 per cent of the dressing room’ amid a belief that Ten Hag is training the squad too hard.

These leaks always seem to emerge after a big defeat and Gary Neville has seemingly had enough.

Gary Neville reacts to Ten Hag rumours

Neville has taken to social media this evening in order to post just five words about these Ten Hag rumours.

‘Here we go. Groundhog Day,” said Neville, believing that it’s just more of the same from the United squad.

Neville has previously accused the United squad of getting managers sacked, specifically referring to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in this instance.

Tools appeared to be downed under Jose Mourinho, Ralf Rangnick never really seemed to get a tune out of the United side and now Ten Hag is allegedly losing the dressing room.

Ten Hag isn’t blameless here, far from it, but the United players surely have to consider if they might be the problem.

Mourinho, Rangnick and Ten Hag have all enjoyed success elsewhere and just months after winning the Carabao Cup, some United players seemingly want another managerial change.

We can only hope that some semblance of organisation arrives with Sir Jim Ratcliffe because this cycle simply cannot continue.
