Man Utd fans all in agreement over Facundo Pellistri amid transfer interest from four clubs

Manchester United fans are convinced that Uruguay winger Facundo Pellistri should be loaned out rather than sold amid transfer interest from four different clubs.

Pellistri has made sporadic appearances for United this season and has struggled to secure regular first-team minutes under Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.

The 22-year-old winger has managed only one Premier League start in nine appearances, with Pellistri picking up an assist in the 1-0 win over Fulham.

Pellistri is behind the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order and a potential move away from Old Trafford could happen.

Pellistri attracts interest from four clubs

Pellistri is seen as a future prospect at Old Trafford, but Ten Hag could loan him out in January so that the United youngster can secure more regular playing time.

Villarreal have been linked with the Uruguay international in the January window, with United reportedly wanting to recoup the £9m fee they paid for Pellistri in 2020.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos-owned Nice are among the clubs interested in Pellistri and the Ligue 1 side are reportedly keen on signing the Red Devils player.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Monday, PSV Eindhoven have also entered the race to sign Pellistri and are hopeful of bringing him to the Eredivisie on loan.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, the transfer news expert said that negotiations between United and PSV have started over Pellistri.

Romano added that LA Galaxy are also ready to challenge rival clubs in the race to sign Pellistri and the MLS outfit “plan to submit [a] permanent transfer proposal soon.”

United fans’ reaction to PSV’s Pellistri interest

United fans on social media platform X made it clear that they would rather see the Red Devils loan Pellistri out to the likes of PSV rather than sell him to LA Galaxy.

“A loan deal for him is the best,” one fan said.

Someone else added: “Send the kid to PSV on loan to develop more. A permanent move to LA [Galaxy] makes no sense for the club (or player probably) unless they are offering at least £30m/£40m (which they won’t be) There is a player in there and we can’t keep letting our young players leave for pennies.”

Another posted: “Eredivisie can be perfect for him.”

While a fourth wrote: “This could be a good opportunity for Pellistri to gain regular playing time and showcase his skills in a competitive league like the Eredivisie.”

And a fifth tweeted: “A loan makes sense. I don’t want to see him leave permanently, though.”

“PSV is a better option for him,” another simply commented.

A seventh said: “This is a perfect chance for [Man United] to let Pellistri go and develop and I hope they also negotiate for his playing time too, it’ll help him.”
