West Ham striker Michail Antonio believes that Manchester City player Kalvin Phillips should consider Manchester United as a potential destination if he leaves the Etihad.
United were previously linked with Phillips during his time at Leeds United, but a move for the highly rated England international failed to materialise.
Phillips was a key figure under former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa and forged an important partnership with Arsenal star Declan Rice during England’s Euro 2020 run.
Pep Guardiola’s City side landed Phillips from Leeds in a £45m deal in 2022, but the England midfielder has failed to make his mark at the Etihad.
Phillips, who is under contract with City until 2028, has managed 31 appearances across all competitions during his time at the defending Premier League champions.
The former Leeds star has been limited to 10 appearances in all competitions in the current campaign, with Phillips managing only four Premier League appearances.

Forgotten City man Phillips attracts transfer interest
Phillips has been tipped to leave City in the January transfer window in a loan move, with the former United target struggling to establish himself under Guardiola.
Juventus were among the clubs who were linked with the England star, but it appears the Serie A side will not make a move for him this month.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claimed Juventus “have no intention” to move ahead with a deal after talks with City over a loan fee and his salary.
The transfer news expert added on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that Newcastle “remain interested” in signing Phillips.
Antonio tells Phillips to consider United
It remains unclear if United would even consider a move for Phillips at the current time, with Erik ten Hag exploring other positions that he is keen to reinforce.
The Red Devils were linked with the City midfielder before and a loan move for Phillips could provide Ten Hag with further squad depth for the rest of the season.
Speaking on The Footballer’s Football Podcast, Antonio urged Phillips to consider a transfer to Old Trafford if United come knocking for him in the January window.
“For me, I’m going to Juventus, after Juventus, it would be Man United and then it would be the Magpies,” he said.
“That’s from me, from a personal standpoint, I always wanted to play in Italy, Inter Milan always had a place in my heart, and the city, I love it, I love Milan.”
