Manchester United emerged victorious against West Ham United, in arguably the performance of the season.
The Red Devils were simply phenomenal on the day. Erik ten Hag‘s side put in a simply dominant display at Old Trafford, ensuring that the three points were never in doubt.
There were many stand-out players. Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martinez were particularly impressive.
However, you just can’t ignore the young trio of Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund. They were simply unbelievable.
The Manchester United trio for the future
An image for the ages was captured during the clash against West Ham, which came after Manchester United‘s second goal, where Garnacho dispatched. He decided to celebrate with Mainoo and Hojlund, in a picture fit for the Louvre.
What did Alejandro Garnacho’s celebration vs West Ham mean?
Speaking with Sky Sports after the fixture, Garnacho had the following to say about the celebration. Garnacho quipped: “I am very happy because I scored two goals. The celebration is an inspiration.”
But what is the inspiration? Well, Manchester United fans think they know the answer. Of course, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo‘s influence.

Ten Hag spoke about the formidable trio of youth after the match and about the celebration. He told the BBC:
“The future for Manchester United is very good because we have high potential. I think that picture [below] covers the lot, how they are together and want to play football with adventure and enjoyment. If we keep this process going I am sure we will achieve high levels.
“We are building a team, we signed young players and give them opportunities. This is a process with ups and downs and we have to realise this. Our experienced players will help them and we need them and they will help the young players perform.”
What a game. What a photo. What a trio. The future is seriously bright at Old Trafford.
