Manchester United fans wasted no time reacting to Amad Diallo after what they spotted from the player in the Premier League clash against Aston Villa.
The Red Devils welcomed Aston Villa to Old Trafford for their final Premier League match of the 2024-25 campaign and Manchester United came out on top on Sunday.
United impressed against Villa in the first half of Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League win, but the Red Devils were unable to break the deadlock against Unai Emery’s men.
Ruben Amorim’s men and Unai Emery’s side went into the break with a 0-0 scoreline on the board before United made a major impact in the second half at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes set up Amad Diallo for United’s opener in the 76th minute before Christian Eriksen stepped up in the 87th minute and slammed home a penalty.
Villa were down to 10 men against United for the second half after Emiliano Martinez received a red card in first-half injury time for his challenge on Rasmus Hojlund.
United’s superb 2-0 win over Villa moved Ruben Amorim’s side up to 15th place in the Premier League table on the final day of the 2024-25 league season.
The Red Devils have ended the campaign with their worst finish in Premier League history and will be without any European football for the 2025-26 campaign.

Man Utd fans’ reaction to Amad Diallo’s Premier League performance vs Aston Villa at Old Trafford spoke volumes
Amad Diallo started the Premier League match against Aston Villa on Sunday as the right-sided No 10 in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for Manchester United.
The 22-year-old Ivorian winger has had a superb season at Old Trafford and Amad has arguably been one of United’s best players amid a poor season for the club.
Amad once again made an impact for United and the Red Devils attacker showed his incredible versatility by shifting his position during the 2-0 win against Villa.
The Ivory Coast international moved from the No 10 to right wing-back in the second half after Diogo Dalot came off and was replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, waxed lyrical about Amad as a right wing-back after the injuries to Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot.
One Red Devils supporter argued: “I don’t want to ever hear any RAM or R10 from anybody’s mouth again… Amad Diallo’s best position in Amorim’s system is RWB!!!”
Another simply said: “Amad doing things from RWB simply can’t be ignored anymore; he’s better there.”
A third United fan suggested: “We must sign [Bryan] Mbeumo and [Matheus] Cunha. Amad is suited at the RWB role.”
Somebody else commented: “Amad is a much better player when he plays as RWB. Period.”
“Amad at RWB is the future,” a fifth added.
While a sixth tweeted: “Next season, Amad should hold that RWB. I don’t want to see him up [at No] 10 again.”
“Amad owns that RWB position,” someone else posted.
And an eighth Red Devils supporter pointed out: “I personally always wanted Amad in RWB. For that very reason. Much more space for him to run.”
What Ruben Amorim had to say about Man Utd’s ‘week’ after the 2-0 Premier League win vs Aston Villa at Old Trafford
Speaking after the 2-0 scoreline at Old Trafford, United manager Amorim welcomed the Red Devils bouncing back against Aston Villa after the 2025 Europa League final.
“Difficult week. Tough on everybody,” he told BBC Match of the Day, as per BBC Sport.
“But it was good spirits from the players and supporters today. So, we finished a terrible and hard season with a win. It’s a good feeling.
“We are trying. We had momentum in other games like this. In the [Europa League] final, we were clearly the strong team. But sometimes we do not score.
“We had so many chances today. We are improving, but we have a lot more to do next season.”
United lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the final of the Europa League and Spurs’ win at the San Mames Stadium ensured their place in the Champions League for next season.
