Manchester United’s transfer interest in one Premier League star has intensified amid the summer first-team squad rebuild for manager Ruben Amorim, according to stunning reports.
Ruben Amorim is expected to make the first major overhaul to the Manchester United first-team squad that he inherited from former Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.
The 40-year-old United manager will welcome new signings to Old Trafford and other Red Devils players face the chopping block in the summer transfer window.
Amorim has already received a major boost early in the summer window after United signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves by paying out his £62.5m release clause.
Matheus Cunha’s arrival at Old Trafford has been welcomed by United fans and the Red Devils are tipped to reinforce their attacking options even further this summer.
Bryan Mbeumo has also been linked with United and the 25-year-old Brentford star has also attracted transfer interest from Premier League side Tottenham.

Man Utd’s position over signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa has continued to strengthen in the summer transfer window
Emiliano Martinez has been tipped to leave Villa Park after the end of the 2024-25 Premier League season and Manchester United have been linked with the player.
The 32-year-old Argentine has been at Aston Villa since 2020 after he left Arsenal and Emiliano Martinez has been a key player for manager Unai Emery.
It is believed that Aston Villa are open to selling Martinez, who was signed from Arsenal for a £17m fee, this summer and reportedly want £40m for the player.
The Premier League club are in need of balancing their finances and Villa would be willing to let Martinez leave Villa Park if the right fee came in for him.
Journalist Leo Paradizo has claimed on ESPN Argentina that “talks have already begun” between Martinez and United over a possible move to Old Trafford.
Emiliano Martinez’s feelings on leaving Aston Villa and moving to Old Trafford to play under Ruben Amorim at Man Utd
Emiliano Martinez is under contract with Aston Villa until 2029 and the Argentina international has made 212 appearances for the Premier League side.
Ruben Amorim was left frustrated last season with the respective errors that both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir made between the sticks at United.
According to Leo Paradizo on ESPN Argentina, the opportunity to move to United “excites” Martinez the “most” amid the “possibilities” over his club future.
He added that United and Villa are “going to take their time” over the talks, but Paradizo insisted that he “can confirm” that contact had been made with Martinez.
Villa shot-stopper Martinez has also been linked with Turkish side Galatasaray amid the uncertainty around the 2022 World Cup winner’s future at Villa Park.
