Senne Lammens impressed against Brighton but was outshone by two other Man United goalkeepers

Senne Lammens still boasts a 100% win rate at Manchester United after starring in the victory over Brighton.

Manchester United have now won three consecutive Premier League matches and the start of that run coincided with Senne Lammens making his debut.

Lammens was described as “the wall” by teammate Benjamin Sesko following his superb start to life at Old Trafford, and he continued his red-hot form in the 4-2 win over Brighton.

Ruben Amorim has been ‘surprised’ by Lammens and how well he has dealt with the pressure of being United’s shot-stopper. The 23-year-old Belgian already appears to be a big transfer success for Ineos.

The goalkeeping department has been a concern for United in recent years, but all of a sudden it seems the Red Devils have rich depth between the sticks.

Two Man United goalkeepers even better than Senne Lammens yesterday

Lammens was ‘unfazed’ against Brighton, and he kept calm and composed in goal even when Brighton threatened a comeback. United fans are quickly falling in love with the new shot-stopper, but there are other goalkeepers on the books who would love to challenge his starting spot.

Radek Vitek has starred on loan at Bristol City, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. On Saturday, Bristol City won 1-0 against Birmingham City. Vitek kept a clean sheet despite Birmingham being allowed to attempt 14 shots.

As per FotMob, Vitek earned a 7.6 rating for his latest performance, building on his brilliant run of form in the Championship.

Andre Onana joined Trabzonspor on loan in the summer after falling out of favour at United, and he has also enjoyed a strong start to the season in Turkey.

At the same time as United’s clash against Brighton, Onana starred in a 2-0 win for Trabzonspor against Eyupspor. The Cameroon international was rated on FotMob as Trabzonspor’s best player with an 8.5 out of 10. He made four saves and prevented 1.04 goals to earn a clean sheet.

In comparison, Lammens was given a 6.6 rating for his performance against Brighton.

Senne Lammens has already cemented Man United spot

It may only be three games into his United career, but Lammens is certainly showing some incredibly positive signs.

Being United’s goalkeeper is one of the hardest jobs for any Premier League footballer, but Lammens looks well-equipped to handle that pressure.

Lammens’ value has already skyrocketed £10m as a result of his strong start, so Ineos will be feeling better and better about their decision to snub the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Emiliano Martinez to sign the Belgian.

While Onana is only out on loan, it feels as though his United career is all but over. His success in Turkey will encourage the Red Devils that he can still bring in a big transfer fee next summer.

As for Vitek, he will hope to return to United and challenge for a first-team spot, but it will be a tough task to dethrone Lammens if he continues on his current trajectory.
