Photos: French wonderkid Malick Fofana spotted wearing Manchester United kit

Manchester United fans might be intrigued by the actions of promising Lyon winger Malick Fofana.

A week ago Manchester United fans were left angered by the actions of Alejandro Garnacho.

Garnacho posted an image on social media wearing an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford’s name and number on the back.

Now we have the opposite case. Lyon winger Malick Fofana has been spotted wearing a Manchester United kit.

Fofana was pictured on his Instagram story reel doing some offseason training, wearing the green Manchester United third kit from the 2022/23 season.

Coincidentally this shirt also had Marcus Rashford’s name and number on the back.

Malick Fofana could leave Lyon

Malick Fofana’s situation is one to watch. The French forward is attracting attention in connection with a transfer this summer.

Lyon were recently punished for financial irregularities with relegation to France’s Ligue 2. This makes the departure of Fofana even more likely.

This presents a possible bargain for Manchester United if the club are intrigued enough to push for his signature.

Fofana, 20, scored 11 goals for Lyon last season and also provided five assists.

Malick Fofana caused Manchester United problems

Manchester United have already seen Malick Fofana up close, he caused the Red Devils serious problems in the dramatic Europa League game between the two teams.

Fofana won a penalty to help Lyon take the lead, with Manchester United eventually going on to win 5-4.

Speaking about the enthralling game at Old Trafford, Fofana vowed: “It’s the first time I’ve felt emotions like that and I’ll remember it for a long time.”

Caught Offside has claimed Liverpool and Arsenal are both keen on signing Fofana this summer.

But it seems he has a liking for Manchester United, despite Lyon’s defeat.

Whether he fits in at United or would be a priority is another matter, but the situation might be one to keep an eye on.
