Manchester United have now reportedly identified an alternative to Aurelien Tchouameni in the Red Devils’ pursuit to replace outgoing Brazil midfielder Casemiro this summer.
Casemiro’s pre-planned Manchester United exit has already been confirmed ahead of the 34-year-old midfielder’s current Premier League contract expiring in June.
The former Real Madrid star has been a key United first-team player since interim head coach Michael Carrick took charge at the Premier League club in January.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has been linked with Man Utd, but the Red Devils are now believed to be interested in Juventus’ Khephren Thuram as well.

Man Utd’s transfer links with Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram amid the ongoing Aurelien Tchouameni speculation
Aurelien Tchouameni became the long-term successor to Casemiro after Real Madrid sold the Brazil international to Manchester United in a blockbuster 2022 transfer.
However, the Red Devils face an uphill battle in signing the 26-year-old French midfielder from Los Blancos and could turn their attention elsewhere in the market.
According to Flashscore, United are now closely monitoring the situation around Khephren Thuram amid the growing transfer interest from Premier League clubs.
Thuram has been linked with the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle and Tottenham after establishing himself as an ‘important player’ for Serie A side Juventus.
The 25-year-old France international has been at the Turin-based club since 2024 after the Old Lady landed him from French side Nice for an initial fee of £16.9m.
Why would Juventus sanction a transfer sale of France star Khephren Thuram amid Man Utd’s interest?
United were linked with Khephren Thuram when he was at Ligue 1 outfit Nice, which is under the control of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos regime.
Flashscore reports that Juventus would be open to selling the France midfielder so long as the right offer was tabled for Man Utd-linked Thuram this summer.
It is believed that Juventus have set their starting price for Thuram at £34.8m (€40m) and the fee could change for the player depending on the Old Lady’s season.
Juventus would be keen to offer Thuram an ‘improved contract’ if the Italian side can finish the 2025-26 campaign on a ‘strong note’ in the final few weeks.
