Bruno Fernandes has sent out a powerful message about Manchester United summer signings Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha going into the 2025-26 Premier League season.
Ruben Amorim is now able to roll out a new-look attacking trident for the Red Devils in the new season after Manchester United’s summer spending spree on key talent.
Matheus Cunha first arrived at United in June and the Red Devils triggered the 26-year-old Brazil international’s £62.5m release clause at Premier League side Wolves.
Following United’s signing of Cunha from Wolves, the Red Devils carried out a summer pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo and had their initial two bids turned down.
However, United’s third bid for Mbeumo was accepted in July and the Red Devils agreed to pay Brentford an initial fee of £65m, with £6m included in add-ons.
Joining both Mbeumo and Cunha at Old Trafford was none other than Benjamin Sesko, who completed his stunning transfer to the Premier League club last week.

Bruno Fernandes’ Man Utd message on Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha couldn’t be clearer
United completed the signing of Benjamin Sesko last Saturday after the Red Devils landed him for an initial fee of £66.3m, with add-ons taking the deal to £73.7m.
Following his move from RB Leipzig, Benjamin Sesko was presented to United fans on the same day alongside Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.
The four aforementioned summer signings took to the Old Trafford pitch ahead of United’s penalty shootout win vs Fiorentina in the final pre-season match of the tour.
Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, Bruno Fernandes has insisted that Mbeumo, Sesko and Cunha will now offer “big competition” for everyone at United.
“Putting them three together with everything we had already from last season will give big competition to everyone, and everyone will be fighting for their position into the team,” he explained.
Bruno Fernandes takes a clear-cut stance about Ruben Amorim’s Man Utd rebuild at Old Trafford
Fernandes has suggested that the major focus for United is to start the new Premier League strongly and the rebuild under Ruben Amorim does not define the Red Devils.
“Expectations at this club are always high,” he said.
The 30-year-old United captain added: “It doesn’t matter if you rebuild or not.
“Manchester United has no time to rebuild. You just have to start strong again. That’s all.
“No-one will be saying that you need to rebuild. At Manchester United, time doesn’t exist. You have to do it now.”
United’s 2025/26 Premier League season will begin at Old Trafford on Sunday, with the Red Devils hosting rivals Arsenal on the opening weekend of the new campaign.
