The eye-catching Marcus Rashford detail that one Barcelona star immediately picked up on, ‘he reminds me a little…’

A Barcelona star has opened up about what he has noticed about Marcus Rashford after the Manchester United and England player moved to the Camp Nou this summer.

Marcus Rashford had been open about Barcelona and the 27-year-old former Aston Villa forward had teased that it would be his ‘dream’ to play at the Spanish side.

Barcelona’s pursuit of Manchester United player Rashford stepped up last month after the La Liga champions missed out on signing Nico Williams from Athletic Club.

Rashford secured his move to Barcelona in July and the Spanish club agreed to sign the wantaway United player on a season-long loan move and will cover his wages.

The England star reportedly took a pay cut to ensure that his move to the Camp Nou could happen and Rashford’s return to Old Trafford this summer was short-lived.

Barcelona’s deal for Rashford includes an option for the Spanish club to make his transfer permanent in 2026, with United asking for a fee of £30.3m for the player.

Barcelona defender Jules Kounde could not overlook a key trait belonging to Man Utd and England player Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has linked up with his Barcelona teammates this summer and has been part of the reigning Spanish champions’ pre-season training and tour.

Hansi Flick wasted no time handing United forward Rashford his Barcelona debut last Sunday after the summer signing featured in the 3-1 win against Vissel Kobe.

Rashford came off the bench for Barcelona after the break and the former Aston Villa attacker played until the 78th minute before Hansi Flick withdrew him.

Jules Kounde has now admitted that Rashford “reminds me a little of myself” and the Barcelona defender realised that the England ace is a “bit introverted” as well.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper Sport, he said: “He’s [Rashford] a bit introverted, but he’s really enjoying himself, and feeling more and more comfortable.

“I think he is happy. He is smiling a lot. He is happy in the field. He reminds me a little of myself.

“He’s a bit introverted, but he’s enjoying himself a lot, and I think he’s feeling more and more comfortable.”

The United loanee was introduced into the attack after the break and Rashford made an impact for Barcelona, with the Three Lions international picking up an assist.

Jules Kounde opened up on Rashford’s early period at the Camp Nou and the France international believes that the Red Devils talent is becoming “very comfortable.”

“Everyone has welcomed him very warmly,” he continued.

“He’s talking to everyone. I think he’s very comfortable. As I speak English, I’m trying to help him as best I can, but I think everyone is doing that.”

Barcelona continue their pre-season tour of Asia on Monday and the La Liga club will face K League 1 side Daegu FC at the DGB Daegu Bank Park in a friendly match.
