FC Seoul captain Jesse Lingard and Barcelona player Marcus Rashford received a telling message from an ex-Manchester United teammate after the pair were briefly reunited this summer.
Jesse Lingard has been with current side FC Seoul since 2024 after the ex-West Ham and Nottingham Forest player signed for the K League 1 outfit on a free transfer.
The ex-England international rose through the Manchester United youth academy and Lingard’s time at Old Trafford came to an end in 2022 after his contract expired.
Lingard shares a close relationship with ex-England teammate Marcus Rashford, who played alongside the FC Seoul skipper for both club and country in his career.
Rashford, much like Lingard, rose through the Red Devils’ academy system and broke into the United first team, with the Barcelona star once being a key player.
However, the 27-year-old England international’s importance to the senior United squad is all but over after his fractured relationship with manager Ruben Amorim.

Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford’s reunion amid FC Seoul vs Barcelona catches the eye of a former Man Utd teammate
Marcus Rashford left Manchester United this summer and the former Aston Villa star completed a move to La Liga outfit Barcelona on a season-long loan deal.
Jesse Lingard led FC Seoul on Thursday for their pre-season friendly match against the Spanish side and Rashford came off the bench for Barcelona in the second half.
Rashford’s display for Barcelona saw the United loanee secure an assist in the 7-3 win over FC Seoul, with the England star setting up Ferran Torres in the 88th minute.
Lingard was subbed off in the second half of the match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, while Rashford played 45 minutes for Barcelona after the break.
The former Three Lions star took to social media and shared photos amid the FC Seoul vs Barcelona match, including a picture of him alongside Rashford.
Nemanja Matic, who played alongside Rashford and Lingard, was spotted in the comments of the Instagram post and he fired a tongue-in-cheek comment out.
“You 2 together = problem [sic],” he wrote, adding a laughing emoji.

Marcus Rashford continues to try and prove his place at Barcelona after his Man Utd transfer exit
Rashford made his Barcelona debut last Sunday after he came off the bench in the Spanish champions’ 3-1 win over Vissel Kobe at the Noevir Stadium Kobe.
He took Raphinha’s place on the pitch last weekend after half-time and Barcelona’s Rashford played against Vissel Kobe until the 78th minute before he was taken off.
Rashford’s United wages are mainly being covered by Barcelona as part of his loan spell and the England international reportedly dropped his salary to make the move.
United have included the option for Barcelona to make Rashford’s transfer to the Camp Nou permanent in 2026, with the Red Devils setting the price at £30.3m.
