Ruben Amorim told two Man City players ‘looked like they were in a park’ against Man Utd star, ‘You have to bring’…

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has been warned about what happened to one key first-team player against Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.

The Red Devils were back in action for the first time since the end of the September international break, with Manchester United tasting defeat in the Manchester derby.

Manchester City bounced back from back-to-back Premier League defeats after Phil Foden netted against United in the first half before Erling Haaland scored a brace.

Pep Guardiola’s men collected all three Premier League points on Sunday and City climbed ahead of United in the table, with the Red Devils’ rivals now in eighth place.

United, on the other hand, fell to 14th place in the Premier League table after losing their second league match in their opening four matches of the 2025-26 campaign.

Dion Dublin tells Ruben Amorim exactly what happened to Benjamin Sesko in Man City vs Man Utd at the Etihad

Manchester United fans reacted to Benjamin Sesko’s performance on Sunday, with the summer signing finally starting his first Premier League match for his side.

Benjamin Sesko was leading the frontline in United’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, with Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo playing behind the 22-year-old Slovenian.

The Slovenia international struggled in the United attack and Sesko was starved of much-needed service during the Premier League match against City at the Etihad.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Dion Dublin admitted that he would “hold back” from taking a major dig on former Newcastle and Arsenal target Sesko over his display.

However, the 56-year-old ex-United and England player felt that City defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias showed exactly where Sesko is at right now.

“You have to bring something to the table,” Dion Dublin said, as per BBC Sport.

“I haven’t seen enough of Benjamin Sesko. I’m going to hold back on giving him a hard time.

“Me, as an old number nine, I expect more from a number nine playing for United.

“Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias looked like they were in a park playing against Sesko today.”

Benjamin Sesko’s first Premier League start came to an end in the 80th minute, with Ruben Amorim withdrawing the United striker and replacing him with Casemiro.

Speaking after City’s 3-0 win over United, Red Devils boss Amorim insisted that Sesko will need to tap into his “qualities” amid adapting to the Premier League.

“He is going to feel that he is in the strongest league in the world,” he said.

“We can help Sesko to use his qualities, but it will take time.”

Sesko has made five appearances for United since his move to Old Trafford in August, but the Slovenia striker has not scored in a single match so far.
