Report: Man Utd wonderkid tipped to become as good as £40m England international, he could save Ineos millions

Manchester United’s academy has numerous potential future England internationals currently developing across different positions.

The current state Manchester United are in has created the rare situation where Thomas Tuchel’s England squad is regularly absent of a single Red Devil.

Kobbie Mainoo was the last United academy player to debut for England, although that means it is long overdue.

United have several talents who could be future internationals if they are part of a successful team, something Ruben Amorim looks unlikely to achieve at the club.

Shea Lacey, Bendito Mantato, Jim Thwaites, and Jack Fletcher all look like they have the ability to one day pull on the shirt of the Three Lions.

However, it is a defensive prospect who has been picked out by scouts as having the ability to become as good as Marc Guehi, and therefore one of the best defenders in the country.

Jayden Ngwashi could be Manchester United’s own Marc Guehi

With one of the best academies in England, United is packed with exciting and high-potential talents in almost every position across the pitch.

However, Carrington is also producing excellent defenders, with 17-year-old whizkid Jayden Ngwashi a testament to this.

Ngwashi has been involved in United’s first-team training under Amorim, which shows how highly regarded the teenager is.

Now, the Daily Mail has reported that one scout familiar with Ngwashi has claimed that the centre-back has a ceiling which is similar to the levels Marc Guehi, valued last summer at £40m, is capable of achieving.

Ngwashi is seen as a more technically gifted central defender than Godwill Kukonki, who is physically dominant, which could, in theory, make the duo a top pairing in the future.

Jayden Ngwashi can save Manchester United millions

With Europe’s elite lining up for the defender, United secured the future of Ngwashi last summer with a new contract.

The Ngwashi contract could be worth millions to United, as his development and talent indicate he will be a top-level defender in the coming years, making him a valuable asset for the Red Devils.

Ngwashi has impressed United coaches, and he really is the perfect modern central defender, with on-the-ball ability in abundance, coupled with his quick movement and excellent understanding of his defensive duties.

If the England youth international can live up to his potential, or even reach a level close to Guehi, he will be a star for United.

The future is incredibly bright, and Ngwashi should be part of it for United, as Amorim has already taken notice of.
