Harry Amass starts for England U19 with Jack Fletcher on the bench

For England at an U19 level, there were two United players involved in a 2-0 win over Lithuania on Wednesday afternoon.

Amass started for his country as a left-wing-back, continuing in the same role he has been shining in for Sheffield Wednesday.

Amass has been so impressive for Wednesday, with the Championship side looking to extend his loan.

Additionally, on the England bench was Jack Fletcher, but the 18-year-old didn’t get a minute of action in this one, but will hope to play when he faces his twin brother, Tyler, next week in a European Championship qualification group stage clash.

Speaking of Tyler Fletcher, the defensive midfielder was also playing on Wednesday, only for Scotland instead of England.

Tyler featured in the starting line-up alongside United academy defender Daniel Armer, who was on the left of the back three.

Scotland drew 2-2 against Latvia, and Tyler Fletcher scored in this game, which at the time put his side 2-1 ahead.

Like his twin brother, Tyler will be excited for the England vs Scotland clash next week, in which he will no doubt be hoping to prove he made the right decision in representing the nation, as his father, Darren, did so proudly.
