A surprise duo won a training drill in front of new Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick.
Michael Carrick and his coaching staff have been making preparations for this weekend’s Manchester Derby.
Carrick’s first training session was a chance for the squad to stake their individual claims to get into his planned starting line-up.
It was also a chance for the young players involved to battle for a spot on the bench, and try and get noticed.
One player who may have succeeded is the teenager crowned the joint-winner of a shooting drill.

Bruno Fernandes and Tyler Fletcher come out on top
Among the various activities in the Manchester United training session on January 14, the players were tasked with taking part in a shooting competition.
Teaming up in pairs, each duo were set the challenge of scoring three goals in a row past the team’s goalkeepers.
Information supplied via United media shared that the winners were Bruno Fernandes and young talent Tyler Fletcher.
Tyler Fletcher has been on the first team bench in recent weeks, but is yet to make his professional debut.
He is the twin brother of recent debutant Jack Fletcher, and son of under-18s manager and recent interim boss Darren Fletcher.
The battle for places in the squad has intensified following Amad and Bryan Mbeumo’s respective returns from AFCON.
Tyler Fletcher is not guaranteed to make the bench against his former club City this weekend, but he did himself no harm at all with his recent Carrington exploits.

Shea Lacey draws recognition
Another youngster who caught the eye was promising winger Shea Lacey, who now has three first team appearances to his name.
United explained: “Matheus Cunha was particularly effusive about one strike from his partner, Lacey.”
Lacey demonstrated his shooting ability in United’s recent draw with Burnley, crashing a long range effort off the crossbar.
This weekend he is suspended after a harsh red card against Brighton, so it was good to see him still playing a prominent part in the training.
Lacey will be available for consideration the following weekend when United travel to Arsenal.
