United in Focus audience predict how Man Utd will fare in Ruben Amorim’s first roses derby vs Leeds

Ahead of Manchester United taking on Leeds on Sunday at Elland Road, the audience at United in Focus have been having their say on how Ruben Amorim’s reds will fare on our TalkingPoints platform.

Much of the build-up to this clash has been focused on Manchester United’s continued injury crisis, coupled with AFCON meaning eight first-team players are unavailable.

Ruben Amorim will feel hard done by, with pressure increasing as he struggles to kick on despite maintaining a sixth place pace.

United are coming off a 1-1 draw with Wolves, which won’t inspire much confidence at all.

Victory against Leeds would keep United in the top four hunt and make it two wins in three. However a loss would add further fuel to a fire that has now seen reports of growing tension between Amorim and Jason Wilcox.

So with this in mind, let’s see how the United in Focus audience think that the Red Devils will perform.

How confident are you Manchester United will beat Leeds in the first game of 2026?

Our recent record against Leeds is very impressive, they have not beaten us since 2010 👀

United in Focus fans have mixed thoughts ahead of Manchester United vs Leeds

Facing a team so far below United in the league, there would usually be a lot of confidence among supporters for a game like that. However, United haven’t been a certainty to beat anyone in the last 18 months.

This concern and doubt has been clear, given how you fans have reacted to our recent TalkingPoints discussion threat.

One fan said: “Confidence will grow so long as Bruno Fernandes returns. Otherwise, this is a trip I am dreading, even though ‘Dirty Leeds’ haven’t beaten us since 2010. The less said about that say the better.”

A second commented: “Leeds will be so full of confidence and will come racing out the blocks at Elland Road. I still haven’t decided if that suits us or could result in us crumbling…”

Meanwhile a third said: “No chance if we play like last match v Wolves.”

Another added: “Bruno’s return will be decisive I think, I fear Leeds are building momentum enough to shock United.”

Finally a fifth picked out Bruno Fernandes as a decider: “I’m worried that Bruno rushes back before he’s ready, at the same time we need him desperately. Leeds are the only Prem team he’s scored a hat trick against”
