The four youth fixtures Man Utd play during the 24-day break

Manchester United are now into a 24-day fixture break.

A combination of the international break, no FA Cup fixtures, and re-arranged games means Manchester United face an extended break before the next game.

United’s next scheduled fixture is at home to Leeds on April 13. That’s quite a long wait.

If international football is not for you (and we don’t blame you), there are some notable Manchester United youth fixtures to be aware of.

April 3: Man Utd U21s vs Leeds U21s

  • KO: 12.30pm, MUTV

Manchester United’s under-21 side return to action on April 3 in an away league fixture against Leeds at their Thorp Arch training ground.

United are in second place in the table, while Leeds are in 23rd. There could be some younger players drafted in for this game if some of the players are late returning from international youth fixtures.

April 7: Man Utd U21s vs Real Madrid U21s

  • KO: 7pm, MUTV

This is the biggest game of the bunch. Manchester United’s under-21 side will be hosting Real Madrid at Old Trafford.

The game is part of the Premier League International Cup, with United reaching the quarter-final stages of the competition for the very first time.

The knockout tie promises to be a memorable occasion for all the young players involved, and tickets are on sale to fans.

April 10: Man Utd U21s vs Newcastle U21s

  • KO: 7pm, MUTV

United’s under-21 side play a third game in eight days. It is the type of schedule that the first team would love right now.

Newcastle are ranked 20th in the league. The fixtures mean that there should be opportunities spread around the academy players during this period.

April 11: Man Utd U18s vs Leeds U18s

  • KO: 12pm, MUTV

Two days before Manchester United’s first team face Leeds, the two under-18s teams do battle at Carrington. United are in second place, with Leeds in 10th.

Last season Manchester United’s under-18s demolished Leeds 13-1 in this fixture, with JJ Gabriel scoring his first under-18s goals.
