Wes Brown has showered praise on both Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw after the Manchester United stars have impressed at Old Trafford this season.
Harry Maguire inked a new contract with the Red Devils last month after the former Manchester United captain’s resurgence in form at Old Trafford this season.
The 33-year-old England international has become a key defensive pick for Michael Carrick in the 2025-26 campaign after Ruben Amorim was sacked by Man Utd.
Maguire’s run in the Red Devils side under United legend Michael Carrick has allowed the centre-back to climb back into the Three Lions team under Thomas Tuchel.

Wes Brown on the impact of Harry Maguire during the 2025-26 campaign at Man Utd
England star Harry Maguire missed the tail end of 2025 after a thigh problem ruled the former Manchester United skipper out of nine Premier League matches.
The defender made sporadic appearances under Ruben Amorim earlier in the season before re-establishing himself in the Man Utd starting XI under Michael Carrick.
Speaking on The Busby Way Podcast, Wes Brown highlighted the turnaround in form for Maguire after his run of form under Carrick and ex-United manager Amorim.
“And I think Harry as well,” he said.
“Harry coming back in. People forget about Harry and again, he’s just been solid.”
Wes Brown rates Luke Shaw’s run of form for Man Utd after overcoming his injury-hit Old Trafford spell
Luke Shaw has impressed in the 2025-26 season after the England and Man Utd defender has started all 35 Premier League matches for the Red Devils so far.
Whether played as a left-sided centre-back under Amorim or at left-back under Carrick, Shaw has caught the eye of treble winner Brown for all the right reasons.
“Luke’s been brilliant,” Brown added.
“Yeah, he’s not been talked about enough, but he’s been pretty solid, not done anything wrong.”
United are currently third in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are six points clear of fourth-place Liverpool and fifth-place Aston Villa.
