Kone is probably in the best form of his senior career right now, and Lausanne are rewarding him with more minutes now.

Kone has started the last four games for Lausanne, and despite the team winning just one of those, Kone has emerged with his reputation enhanced.
The latest one came in the 3-2 loss against Zurich, and Kone did well in his 90 minutes.
After starting the last few games as an attacking midfielder, Kone started in a midfield three this time, putting in an all-action display.
He created two chances, completed 32 passes, had 56 touches, and a remarkable 10 of his passes were into the final third.
On the defensive front, Kone had six defensive actions and four recoveries of the ball, summing up a display which had a little bit of everything.
Surprisingly, he even won two out of his three ground duels as he continues to allay fears about his physicality this season.
Lausanne lost the game late on, but Kone will have done no harm to his prospects of continuing to start games for them.
People rolled their eyes as this was a move between Ineos-owned clubs, but Kone is showing that he’s there on merit, and completely deserving of his place.
Tyler Fredricson shows promise
Kone has a Man Utd connection at Lausanne after Tyler Fredricson joined the club permanently this summer, with United retaining buy-back and sell-on clauses.
Fredricson was slow off the blocks in his Lausanne career, but he started this game as well, and played fairly well.
He was his usual ball-playing self, showing off his passing range and defending comfortably during his 54 minutes on the pitch.
It is notable that two of Zurich’s three goals came after Fredricson came off, indirectly raising his stock.
Lausanne aren’t really in an elite European league, but for Fredricson and Kone, this season is shaping up as the perfect learning ground.
