Bruno Fernandes was not among the top Manchester United players who made the most sprints against Premier League side Hull City last Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils’ 2026-27 Premier League campaign took a bumpy start last week after their visit to the MKM Stadium to face newly promoted side Hull City.
Bruno Fernandes captained the Red Devils to a shock defeat in their Premier League opener after Hull City sealed a superb 2-0 win over Manchester United.
The Red Devils were unable to mount a second-half comeback at the MKM Stadium after Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy netted for Hull City in the first half of the clash.

Marcus Rashford and Bryan Mbeumo were some of the Man Utd players who sprinted more than Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes saw out the full 90 minutes last Saturday and was unable to have an influential impact for Manchester United as he did in the 2025-26 campaign.
The 31-year-old United captain was recently named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year after his stunning exploits for the Red Devils under Michael Carrick last season.
According to FotMob, Fernandes was ranked 182nd overall in the Premier League for the most sprints after the opening weekend of fixtures for the 2026-27 season.
The likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Marcus Rashford and new summer signing Youri Tielemans all made the top six Man Utd players for most sprints against Hull City.

- 5. Marcus Rashford (left winger): 9 sprints (No 84 overall)
- 6. Youri Tielemans (central midfielder): 9 sprints (No 87 overall)
Fernandes only made five sprints during his 90 minutes on the pitch at the MKM Stadium and was United’s eighth overall player for most sprints in the match.
Benjamin Sesko, who climbed off the bench, was 165th in the Premier League overall and the Slovenia striker made five sprints during his second-half cameo.
Fernandes did cover 11.4km during his performance against Hull City and clocked in a 30.5 km/h top speed, despite the Red Devils falling to a defeat on the day.
United will now return to action late Sunday afternoon and the Red Devils will welcome Ipswich Town to Old Trafford for a 4:30pm kick-off time in the UK.
