Man of the match v Brentford

Due to the way the game played out, there was only ever one winner for the vote. Scott McTominay wins the poll after his two stoppage time goals which turned defeat into a win for United.

The rest of the game was really disappointing from Manchester United which explains why the vote is so one-sided.

Here are the results from the Manchester United fans man of the match vote which took place across the club’s official website and app;

A clear winner, and due to the importance of his contributions, we are surprised he didn’t get 100%. The other players listed were impressive too, primarily Harry Maguire and Sofyan Amrabat.

A no-contest though, as McTominay in the end won the game and gave everyone a huge lift at Old Trafford, which was much needed.

Ten Hag reacts to McTominay

After the game Erik ten Hag was full of praise for McTominay when speaking with Sky Sports:

“McTominay? Fabulous. When you come in with the end of the game near and you bring that mindset, that energy and that confidence, he fought for every meter, for every ball, and he was rewarded.

Concluding, Ten Hag said: “He is Man United in his heart. He is playing for the badge and he gives his life.”
