Rasmus Hojlund has been nominated for yet another award as the Danish striker continues to impress for Manchester United.
This is the second award that Rasmus Hojlund has been nominated for following the news that the 20-year-old was in the running for the Danish Player Of The Year award.
Now, Hojlund has been nominated for yet another award as it seems the former Atalanta forward is justifying the price tag that Manchester United shelled out for the striker back in August.
There were certainly questions being asked when United agreed to pay the £64 million price tag for the former Sturm Graz forward but he is proving people wrong at this moment in time.
Hojlund’s nomination
The Danish forward has been nominated by GlobeSoccer for the Power Horse Emerging Player award for 2023. Hojlund is in some esteemed company with Jude Bellingham, Jamal Musiala and Gavi among the players to have been nominated.
The winner of last year’s award was another exciting striker who had been previously linked with a move to United, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
Hojlund is still yet to score in the Premier League but has scored five goals in the UEFA Champions League and has looked promising throughout his time in England so far.
The Danish striker, however, suffered an injury during the win over Luton Town and we are still waiting to learn the extent of the injury but it looked to be yet another muscle problem.

Erik ten Hag is also a big fan of the Danish forward and it looks to be the first time that the Red Devils have signed a young, promising forward.
Previously, the Red Devils have signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Odion Ighalo, Edinson Cavani and Wout Weghorst, there was never any future in these signings.
Hojlund, however, is a young striker who can grow with the team and just get better as time goes on, which is exactly what United have been crying out for.
“That is the character of Rasmus (working hard). He wants to improve every day so it is lovely to work with him, with such characters,” Erik ten Hag said to the United website.
Who better to learn from than the Dutchman who developed Sebastian Haller, now at Borussia Dortmund, as well as Dusan Tadic to become a superb false nine, Hojlund is in good hands.
