Manchester United fans have a lot to say about Luke Shaw performance in Euro 2024 final, make the same point

Manchester United and England have continued to show patience with Luke Shaw, and the reason is clear.

Luke Shaw’s injury issues have been a headache for Manchester United and England. But when he is fully fit, his quality is not in doubt.

Shaw started the Euro 2024 final against Spain, a huge show of faith from England boss Gareth Southgate, considering it was his first start in any game since February.

While unclear if he was even 100 per cent fit, Shaw produced a ‘100 per cent locked’ in performance to deal with the threat of Lamine Yamal.

Manchester United fans on Luke Shaw

Manchester United fans were left hugely impressed by Luke Shaw’s performance, agreeing he was among the best players on the pitch – and reinforcing the view he is one of the world’s best left backs.

He kept Lamine Yamal quiet for most of the game, with the Spanish winger one of the tournament’s standout players.

One fan wrote: “Luke Shaw is the best player on the pitch so far. Undoubtedly he is best LB in the world.”

Another added: “Luke Shaw, what a player you are,” while a third commented: “Luke Shaw is the best LB itw I’m not even joking.”

A fourth fan wrote: “Luke Shaw. Phenomenal”, as another added: “Luke Shaw best player on the pitch.”

One United fan wrote: “All I ask for is a fully fit Luke Shaw next season I beg”, with another adding: “Luke Shaw is the best LB in the world when fit.”

Another fan commented: “This is why us United fans say Luke Shaw is easily the best left-back in the world.”

And another comment read: “Luke Shaw decided to tap into his Shawberto Carlos form.”

Luke Shaw and England lose out

Ahead of the game Sir Jim Ratcliffe pleaded with Luke Shaw to come through the game injury-free.

England and Spain cancelled each other out for the first 45 minutes with Shaw effectively cancelling out star boy Lamine Yamal.

Spain took the lead through Nico Williams before Cole Palmer equalised, only for Mike Oyarzabal to score a late winner.

Shaw could not do anything about either goal, both came down England’s right side. But he ends up with another European Championship runners-up medal.
