Manchester United’s deal to sign Samuel Lusale from Crystal Palace is complete.
Over the past month, Manchester United’s deal to sign young winger Samuel Lusale has been awaiting final confirmation.
United’s agreement to sign Lusale was agreed in August, with the club awaiting FA ratification on the agreement.
This appeared to be approved with United listing Lusale on the club’s academy squad page a fortnight ago.
Lusale then sent Crystal Palace a goodbye message, before a picture leaked of the young winger behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
Now Lusale has officially confirmed the move from his end – sharing snaps of him signing his Manchester United contract.
Samuel Lusale message
Samuel Lusale shared a message via Instagram confirming the move, posing in United tracksuit.
He wrote: “I’m incredibly blessed to have signed my first professional contract with Manchester United.
“There’s still much more work to be done, but it’s a privilege to be part of such an amazing club. A new chapter begins.”
Lusale received numerous messages from his new Manchester United academy teammates, keen to help him settle in.
The Slovakia under-18s international will go into United’s under-18s squad first, having just turned 17, and he will be keen to make up for lost time, now able to train with the squad.
Manchester United wait on Chido Obi-Martin
United are awaiting approval for the signing of former Arsenal striker Chido Obi-Martin, who has quit the Gunners for a brighter future at Old Trafford.
Obi-Martin scored a staggering 32 goals for Arsenal’s under-18s last season and there is hope he could be fast-tracked towards the Manchester United first team.
He will require a bedding in period with the academy first – and for now the wait goes on, with red tape holding up his arrival.
In the interests of the player, this one needs to be waved through quickly, to get him integrated as quickly as possible.
