New managerial candidates continue to be linked with Manchester United despite Erik ten Hag surviving the sack.
Manchester United’s poor start to the season caused questions to be asked around Erik ten Hag‘s future at Old Trafford.
The mood around the club hit rock bottom after the awful 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe resisted making a change and instead gave Ten Hag two games to turn things around.
Back-to-back draws away to Porto and Aston Villa followed, which posed more questions than answers about Ten Hag’s future.

The club hierarchy held an extensive meeting in London last week where Ten Hag’s future was supposedly a topic of conversation, but so far there have been no signs that the Dutchman will lose his job.
Edin Terzic linked to Man United manager job
There have been as many as 10 potential Ten Hag replacements linked to the Old Trafford hot seat, many of whom will already be known by Ineos following the interviews held over the summer.
Gareth Southgate ruled himself out of the United job – at least for the next year – after stating he wants a break after stepping down from the England job.
But a new candidate has now emerged with former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic linked to the United job.
It has been claimed that Terzic “has many admirers” inside Old Trafford and will be in the running if Ineos choose to pull the trigger on Ten Hag.
Terzic led Dortmund to the Champions League final last season but is currently unemployed after he requested that his contract was terminated with the Bundesliga giants.
Edin Terzic adored by Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland
During his time in Dortmund, Terzic has worked with some of the biggest stars in world football.
The 41-year-old German coach appears to have a great record of getting the best out of huge talents, including Jadon Sancho.
Sancho played under Terzic at Dortmund before his £72m move to United in 2021, and he returned to play under the German on loan last season.

The 24-year-old winger seemingly has a great relationship with his former boss with Sancho immediately responding to Terzic’s Dortmund exit.
As per the official Bundesliga website, Terzic has also revealed that he shared a “very close relationship” with Jude Bellingham during his time in Germany, with the England international once running over to embrace and celebrate with him on the sidelines.
Terzic also took charge of a young Erling Haaland at Dortmund before his move to Manchester City.
Haaland is another mega-star who is a big fan. Haaland piled praise on Terzic in 2021 when he credited him for Dortmund’s 3-2 comeback victory against Sevilla in the Champions League.
“We had a good plan,” said Haaland, as quoted by FotMob. “Edin has been good and I’ve been talking a lot with him. He said today would be my game and that I would get my chances and I did, so it was an important win.”
Terzic’s links to the United job have somewhat appeared from thin air, but going off comments from his former players – he could be a great option to replace Ten Hag if he is sacked.
