Manchester United’s list of loanees this season have been hot and cold, however, some have been true successes.
Ineos utilised the loan market to its fullest extent this season, with countless players heading elsewhere both last summer and in January.
Manchester United have watched as Antony has headed to Real Betis and looked sensational, even becoming a fan favourite over in Seville.
Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford has shone at Aston Villa, and despite his struggles, Tyrell Malacia has had some good moments at PSV.
However, it has not been all good for United, with Dan Gore making just one successful appearance for Rotherham United.
Ethan Wheatley has struggled for minutes at Walsall, and Ethan Ennis at Doncaster Rovers has been used far less than anticipated as well.

Jack Kingdon aiming to impress Manchester United and Ruben Amorim
Another player out on loan is Jack Kingdon, with the central defender at Rotherham since January, where he has made 11 National League appearances to date.
Prior to his loan, Kingdon impressed Ruben Amorim early into his reign as United boss, even being in the running to feature with the first team against Bodo/Glimt.
Now, speaking with the Manchester Evening News, Kingdon has revealed that he feels he could be a great fit for United under Amorim while admitting 2025 pre-season tour ambitions.
“Considering Rochdale and United play a similar formation, a similar style, obviously different levels, but it’s the same idea and principles. I’m hoping to bring what I’ve learnt here to United in pre-season, hopefully impress there, go on tour and then hopefully I’m with them every day,” Kingdon adds.
“But if not, I’ll look for another loan and see what happens, really.”
Continuing, Kingdon explained why he enjoys a back three.
“In a back three, if you’re playing as the wider centre back, you can get on a bit more, get involved in the attack a bit more. As a two, you’re more keeping the play going, locking up at the back. Three at the back is a bit more freedom, and you can get forward.”
Jack Kingdon shares verdict on Ruben Amorim
Kingdon not only hinted at his suitability to Amorim’s system but also lauded the United head coach.
“When he first came, a lot of us went in to train with him,” Kingdon explained regarding Amorim’s arrival.
“You can tell he’s a really good coach. He has a style, and he will play that. He won’t change it, he wants to play that way. Rochdale plays in more or less the same, so it’s good to get experience here and bring it back to United.
“If he sees something and it’s completely wrong, he’ll stop [the session], any coach would. But he likes to be free-flowing; he likes to see how it’ll pan out. He likes to let it roll.
“With every new manager that comes in comes a new opportunity; everyone wants to impress. Everybody works their hardest, as they do anyway, but they’re trying to impress, and it was really good to meet a new manager, a new coaching staff and a new style.”
