Manchester United have been eyeing a couple of Roma stars, and one of them could be sold over the coming days.
Manchester United have made just the one signing so far this summer, but it’s a crucial addition for Ruben Amorim.
Matheus Cunha has joined United from Wolverhampton Wanderers, providing an injection of quality in Amorim’s attack.
The focus may be on the final third and further additions alongside Cunha, but central defenders continue to be linked.
Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande is on United’s radar, and Amorim could reunite with the Ivorian at Old Trafford.

Roma could sell Manchester United target Evan Ndicka
United have also looked towards Roma for a couple of additions, one of which would be in the heart of defence.
After United’s interest in Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, the Italian media linked Evan Ndicka with a move to Old Trafford.
Roma have just appointed Gian Piero Gasperini as their new boss but may now be forced to sell key players before 30 June in order to balance the books.
Il Messaggero now claim that star defender Ndicka could be one player on the chopping block.
It is suggested that Roma may sacrifice Ndicka for around €40million (£34million), having signed him on a free transfer just two years ago.
Angelino’s move to Saudi Arabia collapsed, leaving Roma to find other ways to raise funds, with Ndicka potentially moving on alongside Leandro Paredes and Eldor Shomurodov.
United are again mentioned as being a suitor for Ndicka, with Premier League rivals Newcastle United also in the race.
Ndicka is a natural left-footer, meaning he could fill in for Lisandro Martinez during his injury lay-off, before potentially moving into the heart of defence.

Roma already have another defensive signing in mind
The report adds that Roma already have a defensive addition in mind, with Gasperini keen to land Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi.
Lucumi is another left-footed centre-back and could replace Ndicka should a sale be made.
United may well admire Ndicka, but it’s difficult to imagine a move to Old Trafford going through before 30 June.
United are focused on Bryan Mbeumo, and the Brentford attacker is likely to be the next signing in Amorim’s recruitment drive.
A central defender just doesn’t appear to be United’s top priority as things stand, so if Ndicka is going to leave over the next eight days, his destination may not be Manchester.
