Manchester United’s summer transfer window already feels like a distant memory after a troubling start to the Premier League season.
Ineos would have been expecting a much better start to the season from Ruben Amorim, following a summer that was unanimously positive.
During the 2025 summer transfer window, Manchester United made some impressive signings, particularly in attack, with a brand new front three in place at the club, albeit yet to play together.
So far, Bryan Mbeumo has been an instant sensation for United, scoring twice in five games despite the struggles around him, as he stands out as the clear star.
Matheus Cunha has also been electric in his four games played prior to injury, and is massively unlucky not to have scored. However, Benjamin Sesko has had a stuttering start at United, but he is still showing more than the club had previously.
All three look the part and will only improve and grow into the role, but one in particular has seen his value skyrocket.

Benjamin Sesko’s ‘fair value’ skyrockets after Manchester United transfer
This summer, United ended a six-year pursuit for Sesko by paying £66m to RB Leipzig for the 6ft 5in Slovenian, beating Newcastle to his signature.
Sesko arrived with a warning from Leipzig, telling the Premier League to watch out, with the striker seen as having the potential to become one of the best in the world.
The end level Sesko is expected to reach would make the £66m look cheap, and already his ‘fair value’ as calculated by CIES skyrockets well beyond this fee.
Using the CIES value tool, we can see that United underpaid for Sesko’s ‘fair price’ by £40m, with the 22-year-old valued at £106m by the tool.
This demonstrates that Sesko could become a bargain fairly quickly if he lives up to the value that most of the footballing world deems him worthy of.

Benjamin Sesko has shown enough to excite Manchester United fans
While he has yet to find his feet, Sesko is in a great position to excel at United, with the attacking quality around him very impressive.
Having not had a full pre-season with United, he is playing catch-up, but there are still reasons to be positive, as FotMob demonstrates.
This season in the Premier League per 90, Sesko has created 1.13 chances, which ranks him in the 83rd percentile among other strikers.
He has also managed to get 2.81 shots per 90, which is almost double the amount Rasmus Hojlund was managing last season (1.43).
In the air, Sesko has an incredible vertical leap, which he is already making use of, winning 3.94 aerial duels per 90, in the 78th percentile.
Sesko is doing the little things right, and so eventually the goals should also come.
