Alejandro Garnacho’s Champions League debut for Chelsea has Man Utd fans all reacting loudly, ‘some people never’…

Manchester United fans have wasted no time reacting to Alejandro Garnacho’s Champions League debut with Premier League side Chelsea against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.

Alejandro Garnacho’s Manchester United career came to an end in the summer after the 21-year-old Spain-born winger’s relationship with Ruben Amorim fractured.

The former United attacker was frozen out of the Red Devils’ first-team squad and Premier League side Chelsea led the race to sign Garnacho in the summer.

Garnacho finally signed for Chelsea in late August and the Blues paid United a transfer fee worth £40m for the Red Devils’ youth academy prospect.

The Argentina international inked a deal with his new club until 2032 and Garnacho received his Chelsea debut against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Enzo Maresca turned to the former United star in the second half at the Gtech Community Stadium, with Garnacho replacing Joao Pedro in the 2-2 draw.

What Man Utd fans were saying about Alejandro Garnacho amid Chelsea vs Bayern Munich in the Champions League

Alejandro Garnacho found himself on the bench again for Chelsea’s trip to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday for their first Champions League match of the 2025-26 season.

Enzo Maresca once again turned to the ex-Manchester United star and Garnacho came off the bench to replace Pedro Neto in the 68th minute against Bayern Munich.

United fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, did not pass up the opportunity to take a swipe at Garnacho for failing to make a real impact in the match for Chelsea.

“Garnacho moved to Chelsea to have a better career,” one Red Devils supporter tweeted.

Another said: “Manchester United fans [are] realising Chelsea [haven’t] won a single match since adding Garnacho to their squad.”

Someone else added: “Chelsea fans must think Garnacho plays like [Cristiano] Ronaldo, and that Manchester United are the ones ‘killing his career.’”

“Chelsea thought they [signed] prime Ronaldo when they bought Garnacho,” a fourth United fan posted.

A fifth X user wrote: “Garnacho, as a winger, has more backwards passes than [Trevoh] Chalobah in this [match]. He’s only [been] on for 15mins [sic].”

“Garnacho [is] shooting when he had options, some people never change. He’s your problem now, CFC [Chelsea] fans,” somebody else commented.

Another hilariously asked: “Did Garnacho play today?”

And an eighth suggested: “Why exactly did Garnacho join Chelsea? Left Manchester United just to sit on the bench; can’t even start the way he did for us.”

What happened in Bayern Munich vs Chelsea amid Alejandro Garnacho’s Champions League debut for the Blues?

Garnacho was added to Chelsea’s attacking frontline in Wednesday’s Champions League tie only after the Blues went 3-1 down against Bayern at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern took the lead in the first half against Maresca’s men after Trevoh Chalobah put the ball in the back of his own net before the Blues suffered another setback.

Harry Kane converted from the spot-kick for Bayern seven minutes after the opener, but the Blues hit back two minutes later after Cole Palmer reduced the deficit.

Bayern took their 2-1 advantage into half-time before Vincent Kompany’s men extended their lead in the second half, with Harry Kane netting again for his side.

Chelsea will now visit Old Trafford on Saturday for their showdown with United, with kick-off for the Premier League match slated for 5:30pm UK time.
