Ruben Amorim's 'deadly' partnership at Man United is blossoming at a perfect time

Manchester United have shown huge signs of improvement this season and interesting partnerships are developing all over the pitch.

Ruben Amorim achieved his biggest win as Manchester United head coach with the 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

It finally ended the wait for back-to-back Premier League wins under the Portuguese head coach, and should quieten any speculation over his future in the Old Trafford hot seat.

Amorim was tactically perfect against Liverpool, with United deserved winners on Merseyside. United finally have a clear identity and style of play, and the players showed they are buying into his project.

There is now incredible attacking depth at United following this summer’s investment, and Amorim is developing a brilliant partnership between two stars.

Bryan Mbeumo at heart of new Man United partnership

At Anfield, Mbeumo scored inside two minutes to make 30-year history for United, and he has taken no time at all to settle in at United.

He has nailed down a starting spot as the right-sided No.10 in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation – a position that suits his attributes perfectly.

Bryan Mbeumo’s arrival this summer has pushed Amad Diallo back into a wing-back role, but it has added a new attacking dynamic to United’s right flank.

Amorim bravely started Amad at Anfield, trusting in the 23-year-old to carry out his defensive duties as well as threaten Liverpool’s shaky defence.

Amad and Mbeumo are building a ‘deadly’ partnership and they combined for United’s opener on Sunday. They continued to be a huge threat to Liverpool throughout the match.

Amad Diallo is perfect fit for Ruben Amorim

Despite the deal threatening his starting spot, Amad raved about Mbeumo’s arrival, and it has actually elevated him to new levels.

Amorim says Amad is a perfect fit for his tactical setup, and he has accepted his new wing-back role with open arms.

When Amorim was first appointed, United were linked with Geovany Quenda, but Amad has saved the Red Devils from having to go and invest in a new right-sided wing-back.

The right wing has been a problem area for United in recent years with Jadon Sancho and Antony both flopping after big-money moves to Old Trafford, but Mbeumo and Amad are now making it a strength.

As United look to build on their Liverpool victory, the partnership between Amad and Mbeumo is something that could be key to building momentum.
