Casemiro will have to be extra cautious in Manchester United’s upcoming Premier League clash against West Ham.
Ruben Amorim will hope to build on Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace by picking up another three points against a struggling West Ham side at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have often collapsed when Casemiro is taken off in the Premier League, so it was interesting that Amorim decided to keep the Brazilian on the pitch for the entire Palace win.
Casemiro has been excellent in 2025/26 so far, here are his stats after 11 games
Casemiro has rejuvenated his career this season after most fans expected him to leave in the summer. He has climbed back up the pecking order to become one of the first names on Amorim’s line-up.

Casemiro on brink of Premier League suspension
The nature of United’s midfield under Amorim is that Casemiro is often left to do much of the dirty work in front of the back five.
While Bruno Fernandes is given licence to roam forward, Casemiro is tasked with breaking up play. However, that does result in regular fouls and yellow cards.
This season, the Brazil international has already picked up four cautions. A fifth would result in a Premier League suspension.
If Casemiro starts against West Ham, he will have to be wary of his situation to avoid missing the following trip to Wolves.

The Premier League yellow card count is reset halfway through the season after matchweek 19. It means Casemiro can avoid a suspension altogether if he escapes punishment in the next six league matches.
Patrick Dorgu is also at risk
Earlier this week, Amorim said he gets ‘anxiety’ about Dorgu when he is in possession for United.

That doesn’t bode well for the 21-year-old heading into Thursday night’s visit from West Ham. Like Casemiro, Dorgu is also just one yellow card away from a suspension.
Dorgu is not as nailed on to start against the Hammers, but if he does he will likely be up against Jarrod Bowen down the wing. Defending against the English winger is anything but an easy task.
If Casemiro does pick up a suspension, then Kobbie Mainoo is his obvious replacement in the following match. As for Dorgu, his suspension would likely mean that Diogo Dalot continues on the left.
