Manchester United and OGC Nice are yet to complete any deals between the two clubs under Ineos, but January might see two.
Ineos‘ multi-club model has not benefited anyone so far in the nearly two years since they arrived at Manchester United.
UEFA denied United the chance to sign from Nice in 2024, with Jean-Clair Todibo the subject of that particular move.

This season, Enzo Kana-Biyik is on loan at Ineos-owned Lausanne, which is a benefit of the relationship between clubs. While Diego Leon has been tipped as a possible loanee in January to Nice.
Now, a second player is reportedly up for a move.

Nice plot move to sign Manuel Ugarte on loan
Ineos have good reason to want to strengthen the Ligue 1 side in January. This is because Nice are currently in turmoil, which resulted in fans resorting to violence, according to reports in France.
Leon has been linked with joining Nice on loan in an effort to give the team a helping hand, and now Manuel Ugarte is also a rumoured target.
This came according to French outlet Jeunes Footeux, which claims that Nice have made enquiries to United for a loan signing of Ugarte.
The conversations were facilitated by the direct link between the clubs, thanks to Ineos’ role at both clubs.
Ugarte would be a starter for Nice, and so the deal makes sense from a sporting sense, with Ligue 1 experience; however, the player would still need to agree, which would be a sticking point.
Despite Nice’s interest, Ugarte is not particularly keen on joining the French side due to their recent reputation suffering from form and chaos.
That being said, Ugarte and Leon have a close relationship, and so sending them together would be smart.
Manuel Ugarte could have lifeline at Manchester United
When Amorim arrived, it was assumed Ugarte would become key, but after consistently struggling, the Uruguayan has lost his manager’s faith.
With Casemiro suspended, who should start vs Aston Villa?
Kobbie Mainoo or Manuel Ugarte?
That being said, with Casemiro suspended against Aston Villa next weekend meaning Amorim will have to choose between Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.
While the better choice would be Mainoo, Ugarte is the more defensive-minded choice for United and therefore against a very in-form Villa side, Amorim might want the ball winner.
This would be the wrong choice, but it would be a lifeline for Ugarte.
