Manchester United attacking duo Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha are both going stride for stride with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland this season.
Benjamin Sesko has been showing huge signs of promise in what is his debut season as a Manchester United striker.
With 10 goals in all competitions, Sesko is United’s joint-top scorer alongside Bryan Mbeumo. But Sesko’s minutes-per-goal ratio is where he is truly thriving.
Since the turn of the new year, Sesko has been on a scoring streak and he is matching Erling Haaland in front of goal.

Benjamin Sesko takes more shots on target than any Premier League star
Under Michael Carrick, Sesko has been able to have a huge impact with minimal minutes on the pitch. His ability to change a match has been priceless.
According to StatmanDave on X, Sesko is attempting 1.89 shots on target for every 90 minutes he is on the pitch.
Incredibly, that tops the Premier League charts, with Erling Haaland in second with 1.82 shots on target for every 90 minutes played.
No one comes close to the two strikers of the Manchester clubs, which is a promising sign for Sesko. In third place with a rate of 1.26 shots on target per 90 minutes is United teammate Matheus Cunha.
Stats suggest goals are coming for Matheus Cunha
Sesko and Cunha have outperformed their expected goals this season, which shows that they are finishing their chances at an elite level.
Cunha is on seven goals this season, which is a respectable haul for his debut season, but statistics suggest that number will only continue to grow.

Clearly, Cunha is taking enough shots on goal to be third in the Premier League, and Cunha’s shooting from distance is one of the best in the division – he proved it with his outside-of-the-box goal against Arsenal.
Frustratingly, Cunha has hit the woodwork three times already this season for United. He has been unlucky to only score seven times, but his consistency to carry on shooting means they will eventually come for the Brazilian.
