Manchester United take on Sunderland this weekend, with Michael Carrick afforded the chance to potentially change things up with Champions League football secured.
Last weekend saw Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-2, and in doing so, a return to the Champions League was confirmed with three games to spare.
This takes pressure off the remaining three games of the campaign and allows Michael Carrick to experiment with his team selection.
With a lack of games this season, several United players haven’t had enough minutes, but that could all change against Sunderland.
Now, United supporters on TalkingPoints have voted pretty unanimously for one player to start.

Manchester United fans want Joshua Zirkzee to start vs Sunderland
This season, Joshua Zirkzee has played little over 500 minutes of Premier League football, with just four starts.
But in cameo lately, Zirkzee has caught the eye, which sees a growing push for him to get minutes now that Champions League football is confirmed.
Ahead of the Sunderland clash, Carrick could be without Benjamin Sesko, presenting Zirkzee a huge opportunity to step up and into the starting line-up.
We asked United fans on TalkingPoints whether they wanted to see Zirkzee start, and the response was pretty unanimous.
75 per cent of voters said Zirkzee deserved a chance to start ahead of Sesko, meaning just 25 per cent wanted him kept on the bench in this situation.
Explaining their decision, one fan wrote, “I do think Zirkzee gets a start in one of the remaining three games. With Sesko dealing with an injury and Amad/Mbeumo out of form – this feels like as good an opportunity as any”.
While another said, “Josh is a Dutch international, use him as he has proven skills and abilities. Amorim stifled his career with his ridiculous on-field formation and man-management strategy, turning strikers into non-entities. Josh can rebuild his career with the plethora of matches in 2026/27.”
A third added, “Yes, give Josh a chance.”
Manchester United must give Joshua Zirkzee one last chance
The former Bologna forward has had a really weird career at Manchester United, failing to ever get going at Old Trafford.
Last season in United’s worst-ever campaign, he played 49 games, scoring seven goals and making three assists.
But this season, he’s played such a limited amount of football that writing him off without another opportunity would be risky for United.
Bright cameos from the bench by Zirkzee have been a false dawn before, but under Carrick, the attackers have found new life, and therefore starting the Dutchman for the final three games this season would be wise.
If he can’t perform, then a move in the summer seems relatively far along already.
