Man Utd fans react to Premier League fixture release
There is optimism brewing among fans following the release of the Premier League fixtures.
One fan is predicting nine points before United take on Man City, hoping to be recognised as early title contenders.
“Should be able to get 9 points in the bag before the derby! That will be when we find out if a title charge is actually on the cards.”
That confidence was strong with others, as another fan comments: “12 points from our first four games let’s do it.”
A realistic supporter commented on how there is no middle ground at United, with expectations to win every match.
“Couldn’t really ask for a more charitable two games to start off with – but it’ll be phrased as a nightmare if we don’t get 6/6.”
Others are trying to contain their excitement.
“Couldn’t have asked for a much better first 3, builds confidence into the derby! Gotta try not to get too excited though…”
First opening game away from home in nine years for Man Utd
United have played most of their opening fixtures at Old Trafford in recent years.
That will not be the case when Carrick and the team kick things off for the 2026/27 campaign.
United will be travelling to Hull City for their first game of the season.
