Manchester United fans showed their true colours after Ineos did not bring Louis Page to Old Trafford from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with Louis Page in August and Manchester United were reportedly working on a deal for the talented 18-year-old Foxes midfielder.
Page’s exploits had caught the eye of Premier League sides Arsenal and Aston Villa after making a real name for himself at Leicester City in the 2025-26 campaign.
According to BBC Sport in August, ‘talks over an agreement’ between United and Leicester had been held over Page ahead of the summer transfer window closing.

Louis Page has remained at the King Power Stadium for the 2026-27 campaign and Manchester United’s desire to bring him to Old Trafford fizzled away.
United In Focus’ TalkingPoints created a lively debate around the news that Leicester City were only asking for an initial fee of £12m and £3m in add-ons for Page.
Red Devils supporters voiced their annoyance at Ineos not signing Page, while one United fan warned that it could be a ‘repeat’ of Jude Bellingham all over again.
“Disappointed. Left behind the top clubs holding onto the purse strings. We needed two more signings at least,” a TalkingPoints user said.
Someone else added: “I don’t know much except from what I have read about Louis Page. If he turns out to be England’s next big midfielder, similar to Jude Bellingham, then United will look foolish again.”
A third Man Utd fan asked: “Was it simply because [Man] Utd didn’t have £12m to fund the deal or something else?”
While a fourth Red Devils supporter wrote: “Six months of the same form he’s in [now] and United will have to pay more than this in January. Why they let this go to deadline day is a mystery in itself. Such a mess.”
“Ridiculous decision [from] stupid people running things. [Two] more years [and] they will pay £60m or £70m,” another argued.
And a sixth added: “I was left disappointed… we needed at least two DM[s], one left-back and a striker.”
Somebody else posted: “We will wait until he has been a Brighton player for [six] months, brought in for £10million, then we will give £75million for him.”
An eighth suggested: “It is a matter of when. The boy is a United fan. He will join next window at the latest.”

Red Devils supporters have been left to rue United’s shortcomings in not signing Jude Bellingham when he was only a teenager ahead of his meteoric rise in football.
The Premier League club tried to land Bellingham from Birmingham City, including making a bid in excess of £30m for the 23-year-old England international in 2020.
United even attempted to use different Red Devils legends, ranging from Sir Alex Ferguson to Eric Cantona, to help persuade Bellingham when he visited Carrington.
However, Bellingham snubbed United and signed for Borussia Dortmund, where he made a name for himself further before his blockbuster move to Real Madrid.
