Manchester United latest: 'Direct meeting' with 43m star's agent Mason Greenwood training pictures emerge

Manchester United late news round-up involving Andre Onana and Mason Greenwood.

Andre Onana talks held

Manchester United are moving ahead with attempts to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The club have held a meeting with his agent as part of attempts to explore options over a move to upgrade on David de Gea.

Fabrizio Romano reports: “Andre Onana’s agent Albert Botines had direct meeting with Manchester United today.

#MUFC Man Utd are approaching goalkeepers to explore options in case de Gea leaves — still waiting for final decision on that one. Inter won’t sell Onana for less than €50m with add ons.”

The speculated price of 50 million Euros equates to £43 million, which is actually a good fee for the Champions League finalist.

Onana is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers passing from the back in world football and would be an upgrade on De Gea, whose contract is set to expire on June 30.

Mason Greenwood trains

In further news, images have emerged of Mason Greenwood training, at a private session with a one to one coach.

Greenwood is suspended by Manchester United pending an internal investigation. No date has been set for a resolution, although the club will have to make a decision soon.

We cannot publish the photos of Greenwood training due to copyright reasons. You can view them via The Sun’s website.

Greenwood is attempting to keep fit as he awaits a decision on his future. He is keen to resume his career, with no criminal charges hanging over him after the CPS dropped charges earlier this year.

The report describes Greenwood as ‘fed up’ as he waits a firm decision from Manchester United, one way or another.

The Sun claimed a fortnight ago that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to bring Greenwood back into the fold, however, the final decision will rest with chief executive Richard Arnold and the Glazers.
