Manchester United reportedly sent a scout to watch yet another Danish talent and could be ready to make a move.
After signing Rasmus Hojlund over the summer, it seems Manchester United are once again scouting the Danish market and could be ready to make another move.
Christian Eriksen joined the club last summer too, so United could be ready to add to the Danish core at the club.
The player in question is attacking midfielder Nicolai Vallys from Brondby IF who has certainly excelled this season and could be the type of signing that United need to make.
Nicolai Vallys scouted
According to the report from Ekstra Bladet, United, alongside another Premier League club Aston Villa, have sent scouts to watch the midfielder.
At 27 years of age, the midfielder does not seem the age profile of a player that the Red Devils need but he has excelled for the Danish side this season as he has scored seven goals and provided one assist.
According to Brondby’s manager Jacob Sorensen, the midfielder is the ‘epitome of game intelligence’ and is a unique talent and received praise for unselfishly setting up his teammate when he could have scored himself.
“It is impressive in relation to how he perceives the game. Most (players) would probably have headed the goal themselves. But Vallys is the type to pick things up extremely quickly. He is just a unique player for the league,” Sorensen marvelled.
United’s need to improve in the market
United need to take a leaf out of Brighton’s book when it comes to recruitment by finding hidden gems and it seems like they are finally trying to target these sort of players.
Whether this will help change the outlook of the club and the seeming abyss they are on the verge of falling into, remains to be seen.
Nevertheless, Vallys, despite his age, is certainly the type of player the Red Devils need to target.
