Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared new exciting details about Manchester United’s pursuit of Benjamin Sesko.
Ruben Amorim has indicated that he would be happy to head into the 2025/26 campaign with his current squad, but ideally he will want a few more additions.
Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that United are ‘very confident’ about signing a striker before the window slams shut, and one of the top names on the club’s shopping list is Benjamin Sesko.
United scouts love Sesko and what he could potentially add to Amorim’s squad, and it seems the Red Devils could profit from his agreement with RB Leipzig.

Man United could take advantage of £65m Benjamin Sesko agreement
Having already spent over £130m on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer, Ineos are working with a tight budget for the remainder of the window.
Signing a striker will very much depend on whether it’s affordable, and Sesko’s gentleman’s agreement with Leipzig could help United to force a deal.
Speaking on his YouTube podcast, Romano added new details to the Sesko saga, explaining that United could be one of the “special clubs” that could be offered a bargain price.
“Manchester United are still discussing Benjamin Sesko internally,” Romano said.
“It’s an expensive deal so it’s not easy, but don’t forget the gentleman agreement I told you.
“For some clubs indicated by Benjamin Sesko as special clubs for him, the price of the Sesko package is 70-80 million euros fixed fee plus 5-10 million euros in add-ons.”
Romano’s prices suggest United could sign Sesko for £65m-£78m this summer.
Man United must beat Newcastle to Benjamin Sesko deal
United are not the only club interested in signing Sesko, with Newcastle United also pursuing his signature following the news that Alexander Isak wants to leave.
Unfortunately, the Red Devils do not have enough funds remaining to try and lure Isak to Old Trafford, so Ineos will have to go head-to-head with Newcastle to try and sign Sesko.
Sesko’s gentleman’s agreement could be a major boost if he has included United in one of his “special clubs” that are offered a cheaper deal.

If Newcastle aren’t included, they may have to pay above the odds for Sesko this summer, giving an advantage to Ineos.
Newcastle do have Champions League football to offer, but Amorim could offer Sesko a starting spot at United alongside new signings Cunha and Mbeumo.
