Manchester United are without a recognised centre-forward with Benjamin Sesko ruled out of action with a knee injury.
Benjamin Sesko missed Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat against Everton on Monday night.
The 22-year-old striker sustained a knee injury in United’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, but Ruben Amorim has yet to give a specific update on his return.
That means Sesko won’t be available to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim gave Joshua Zirkzee his first start in the Premier League this season on Monday night, but the Dutch striker didn’t impress, so it remains to be seen if there will be any changes to the line-up this weekend.
It does not help that Matheus Cunha is also ruled out with a head injury.

Benjamin Sesko latest injury setback
Amorim will be looking at the upcoming games without Sesko in his plans.
United travel to Palace on Sunday before they host West Ham in midweek. Those two games are followed by a trip to Wolves, meaning Sesko could miss all of those games and more.
The Slovenia striker, who signed for United in a £67 million plus add-ons deal from RB Leipzig in August, has only managed to score two goals in 12 appearances for the club.
Who should start as striker for Man Utd with Benjamin Sesko injured?
Respected journalist Dean Jones has provided an update on Sesko, stating that the striker could miss a lot of football before Christmas. He also added that there is no inkling that a striker signing is coming in January.
Jones told TEAMtalk: “I don’t think it is a surprise that Sesko’s return is going to take a little time.
“Some people may feel like this is a longer lay off than initially expected, but I was always told Man Utd will not rush him back and that it would not even be a surprise if we barely see him this side of Christmas.
“I don’t think they see many good options in the market to go and sign a new striker at this moment, either.
“I have not heard of anything optimistic in that sense.
“It is a position where a market opportunity might provide a breakthrough, but when people talk about Guirassy or Vlahovic or Mateta…these sorts of names just are not looking realistic for January.
“I have seen Ivan Toney mentioned as well, but that is not going to happen.”
Who can play up front for Man Utd against Crystal Palace?
While Amorim is limited in options up front, the United head coach could call upon several players to lead the line.
Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo have played the false nine role in the past, while Chido Obi has yet to feature this season.
Bryan Mbeumo could also play up front but that would take him away from his best role as one of the No. 10s in the team.
