Former Manchester United and England defender Phil Jones has admitted that he deeply rates one emerging Premier League talent at Old Trafford right now.
The Red Devils will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon, with Manchester United hosting Tottenham at Old Trafford for their next clash.
Man Utd have enjoyed a serious turnaround in form in recent weeks after the Red Devils have won three consecutive Premier League matches under Michael Carrick.
Michael Carrick’s reign as United interim head coach has seen the Red Devils beat Manchester City 2-0 at home and 3-2 against Arsenal at the Emirates in January.
The Red Devils kicked off February with a strong start as well, with United defeating Fulham in a thrilling – and late – 3-2 result at Old Trafford last Sunday afternoon.

Phil Jones sends a powerful message about Man Utd defender Ayden Heaven amid his rise in the Premier League
Ayden Heaven has featured sporadically in the Manchester United first-team squad since the Red Devils brought him to the Premier League club from Arsenal in 2025.
The 19-year-old Man Utd centre-back arrived under Ruben Amorim’s reign and Ayden Heaven has impressed when he has had the opportunity handed to him.
Speaking to GOAL’s FanZone, former Red Devils centre-back Phil Jones was asked to name the most underrated player in the Premier League right now.
The 33-year-old ex-England international revealed that Heaven stood out for him and Jones did not hold back with his huge admiration for the Red Devils talent.
“Ayden Heaven, I think he’s a top, top player,” Jones said.

Phil Jones singles out Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes and another Red Devils star in his Premier League picks
Similar to Ayden Heaven, Bruno Fernandes earned massive praise from Jones, who said the 31-year-old Man Utd captain stood out in the Premier League right now.
“My favourite player [is] Bruno Fernandes,” Jones said.
Jones has also been impressed by Senne Lammens, who arrived at Old Trafford on deadline day in 2025, and named him the best shot-stopper in the Premier League.
“At the minute, Lammens [is the best Premier League ‘keeper],” he admitted.
Man Utd and Tottenham’s Premier League clash is slated for a 12:30pm kick-off time in the UK at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
